A0>TYPE TRS80.TXT

My first love was the TRS-80 Model IV, my introduction to CP/M and to home computers. Below you will find mirrors of a number of TRS-80 sites, most of which are, unfortunately, now-offline, plus unparalleled downloadable collections of TRS-80 books, magazines, manuals and software for the TRS-80 CoCo, 100, Models I, III and IV, and more.

A0>

Looking for the old TRS-80 Revived software archive? Now that was a sweeeeet collection. We don't have it. We've got something better! The TOSEC Collection[*], over 13000 software packages for the CoCo, Model 100, MC10 and Model I/III/IV, which we proudly make available here. Everything (so far as I've been able to tell) TRS-80 Revived had (save for its small CP/M collection, which I've mostly rebuilt here), this has too, plus bunches and bunches more. Share and enjoy!

In addition, *HUMONGOUS* CP/M has a small (ca. 100) collection of DSK images here, many of which came from the TRS-80 Revived site before its collection was removed. And you can check out Manmrk.

[*] The source of these collections is RetroROMs, which calls them "TOSEC Sets". However, The TOSEC Project doesn't make software available, so the actual source of these collections is unclear; perhaps TOSEC's now-defunct sister site TOSECiso.org.

Not a mirror, the TRS-80 Library is *HUMONGOUS* CP/M's extensive collection of TRS-80 reading materials. The backbone of the library is Ira Goldklang's collection, formerly available at TRS-80 Revived, occasionally supplmented with material from elsewhere. The library has three sections: books, magazines and manuals.

Matthew Reed is the author of a series of very impressive shareware (Windows and DOS) TRS-80 Model I, III, and IV emulators, which attempts to emulate the entire TRS-80 experience, right down to sounds and most of the add-on hardware that was available. I have two mirrors, one from ca. 2000, and one from 2011. Matthew has several emulators available: a Model-4-only emulator for MS-DOS, a Model 1/3 emulator, also for MS-DOS, and a Model I/III/4 emulator for Windows. I have a small collection of versions of his emulators that are no longer available on his site: a 1998 version of the Model 4 emulator; a 2007 version; and v1.18 of his Model I/III/4 emulator for Windows.

8N1

The online (well, now offline) presence of the classic TRS-80 BBS, 8N1. The original BBS (and FTP site) had a large collection of TRS-80 files which are, unfortunately, not mirrored here. I'm looking for a mirror.

Pete C's TRS-80 Home Page at KJSL

The is a 1997 mirror of the TRS-80 Home Page (now offline).

TRS-80 Revived

Ira Goldklang's TRS-80 Revived Site was at one time an unparalleled source of documentation and software for the TRS-80 line. Though it remains today an unequalled source of information, the software and docs libraries were taken offline in 2006. *HUMONGOUS* CP/M maintains an old mirror from ca. 2001, however without the software or documentation. But not to worry - the complete TRS-80 Revived documentation collection is available in *HUMONGOUS* CP/M's TRS-80 Library, while the corresponding TRS-80 Software Collection contains an even more extensive collection than TRS-80 Revived boasted.

Tim Mann's Homepage

Tim "worked indirectly for Logical Systems, the company that produced LDOS and Model 4 TRSDOS 6". More recently Tim Mann has worked on xtrs, a TRS-80 emulator for Unix systems, and has posted a slew of Misosys software, including LDOS 5 & 6 and a large set of Misosys programming tools. *HUMGONGOUS* CP/M has two mirrors of Tim's site, an earlier mirror, and a recent mirror taken in 2011.

David Keil's TRS-80 Computer Emulator Pages

Another classic series of TRS-80 emulators, this time by David Keil, emulating Models I, III, IV and the CoCo. Like nearly all other TRS-80 sites, David's is now offline. This mirror is from ca. 2001. In addition, someone posted instructions (original, mirrored) over at the Ubuntu forums on how to run the Model I and III/IV emulators under DOSBox on Ubuntu Linux 10.4.

Miguel Dutra's CP-500 Page

Miguel's site is dedicated to the CP-500, a Brazilian clone of the TRS-80 line. Here you will find some information, manuals, links (many broken) to software for CP500/TRS80, and Miguel's own VDISK, a Windows utility for reading .DSK/.CMD TRS-80 virtual disk images.

Marnmrk.net's TRS-80 Page

Manmrk.net is an anonymous site with sections on ASM, BASIC, C, Cobol, and more. *HUMONGOUS* CP/M is mirroring its TRS-80 section. (Note: as of Oct., 2011, the original site appears to be offline.)
